Court documents reveal that on January 10, his legal counsel informed the court of Mr. Butler’s decision to withdraw his recent motion for temporary relief. In light of ongoing settlement discussions with Ms. Nowak, Mr. Butler indicated he was retracting the motion he filed on December 2, 2024, without prejudice.

The term “without prejudice” implies that Mr. Butler retains the right to refile his motion should the settlement discussions prove unsuccessful or should unforeseen issues arise in the future.

According to court records, Ms. Nowak filed a paternity lawsuit against Mr. Butler on October 12, 2023. The Daily Mail published an article in December 2024. Spotlighting Mr. Butler’s recent motion. Mr. Butler stated in the obtained motion that he established a final paternity judgment in February 2024.

Mr. Butler confirmed his status as the legal and biological father of three children: R.M.B., a daughter born in 2019; B.M.B., a son born in 2022; and K.B., a second son born in 2023. As part of their agreement, Mr. Butler has temporarily consented to cover the cost of a nanny for Ms. Nowak.

Specifically, Mr. Butler has agreed to provide $10,000 per month for a nanny commencing in January 2024. His attorney articulated that at the time this stipulation was made, the arrangement for timesharing had not been thoroughly established, and their youngest child was only five weeks old. Mr. Butler noted that their youngest child is now over one year old.

He further asserted that he has established his timesharing rights with the children, devoting 50% of his time to the two older children. Mr. Butler’s counsel stated that he has engaged in significant timesharing with the older children. Including during the summer of 2024. Mr. Butler also highlighted that the eldest child will start school in the 2025–2026 academic year, and the middle child will enroll in preschool or childcare. This will significantly decrease if not completely eliminate, Ms. Nowak’s requirement for a nanny.

Mr. Butler reported that he provides a substantial monthly child support payment. He believes this payment is sufficient to cover the costs of a nanny, should Ms. Nowak decide to hire one.

His attorney indicated that Mr. Butler contributes $55,000 per month in child support. Mr. Butler stated that Ms. Nowak is currently unemployed and has allegedly declined to pursue employment opportunities. Given that one child will attend preschool, Mr. Butler shares equal time with the older children. He argues that Ms. Nowak’s demand for a nanny and additional financial assistance from him is unwarranted.

Mr. Butler articulated that he wants to resolve this matter through mediation. However, Ms. Nowak reportedly refused to relinquish her demand for continued financial support for the nanny in addition to the considerable child support payments he provides. His legal representative noted that neither Ms. Nowak nor the children have medical conditions that would render the expense of a nanny reasonably necessary.

“No nanny for Ms. Nowak is reasonably necessary when Mr. Butler is exercising his fifty percent timesharing,” Mr. Butler argued in his motion. Therefore, even if the court were to determine that a nanny constituted a legitimate expense for which Mr. Butler should be responsible, there is no foundation to obligate him to finance a nanny for Ms. Nowak during periods of timesharing.” He also emphasized that Ms. Nowak is fully capable of independently covering the cost of the nanny without negatively impacting the lifestyle to which the children are accustomed.”

Mr. Butler’s attorney remarked, “It is important to highlight that the parties were never married. Ms. Nowak is not entitled to live as if she were married to a professional athlete in the NBA.”

Finally, Mr. Butler communicated that if Ms. Nowak claims an inability to afford a nanny despite the child support payments received, he is entitled to a detailed accounting of her financial usage, and he may seek a court-appointed representative to oversee her expenditures.

Mr. Butler’s attorney stated that the parties have not reached a comprehensive agreement regarding the nanny, necessitating the presentation of this motion. Subsequently, Mr. Butler informed the court that they were nearing a settlement. The paternity action is ongoing.

Butler will make $48.8 million this year, although his suspension is believed to have cost him around $2 million, which he is expected to fight for in arbitration, It sounds like someone wants the WAG life without being an actual WAG. What do ya’ll think? Is she reaching?
