Influencer De’arra Taylor has filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend and fellow YouTuber, Ken Walker. Accusing him of theft and embezzlement. The former couple ran a joint YouTube channel, Dearra & Ken 4 Life, from 2014 to 2021 when they reportedly broke up. On January 2, 2024, Taylor announced the lawsuit against Walker on Instagram. Claiming he illegally withdrew money from their joint account. Although they had previously agreed on how to split their funds; Walker took money from the account without Taylor’s knowledge.
The lawsuit alleges that Taylor and Walker started an LLC for their brand as a couple and earned a significant amount from their YouTube channel and brand deals. However, their relationship ended in 2021 due to Walker allegedly cheating on Taylor. Following their breakup, they sought legal assistance to divide their earnings.
At that time, Taylor had kept $80,000 in their joint account for business purposes as they planned to maintain their YouTube channel. A year later though, she discovered that the money had virtually disappeared. According to reports, Walker admitted to using the funds for “medical bills” and after this incident, Taylor and Walker decided to end their YouTube channel With Walker promising to return the money he had taken. Though he reportedly never did.
In her lawsuit, Taylor is demanding that Walker return the money and pay his business taxes. She alleges he has evaded. She claims he stole $100,000 from their joint account. Known as DK4L. Additionally, she alleges that Walker changed the name of their shared Facebook page to Ken Walker, rebranded it, and began using it to post content with his new girlfriend. Taylor stated that, despite Walker’s infidelity, she had contributed funds from her individual earnings and brand deals to their account.
Furthermore, she mentioned that she produced solo content for their brand while Walker refused to film amid their turbulent relationship. Taylor also alleged that Walker, envious of her success, attempted to claim money from her solo deals and partnerships after their breakup in May 2021. In November 2022, Taylor discovered that Walker had been withdrawing money from their DK4L account without her consent for a year.
Taylor also confronted Walker about the alleged misappropriation of their joint account funds. She asserted that they had accessed those funds before any medical bills were incurred. Calling him out yet again on his lies. Additionally, De’arra discovered that Ken had received the $40k loan payout but never informed her or gave her her share.
She also highlighted that during their split, the couple received $200,000 each from the sale of a joint property. Suggesting that Walker should not have been in financial distress at all. Walker has not followed through on his promise to return the money and now claims to be impoverished and living with his mother. Taylor is seeking $100,000 in damages from Walker. Accusing him of financial misconduct.
De’arra Taylor began her YouTube channel in December 2014, sharing her first video with Ken in April 2015. The joint channel, De’arra & Ken 4 Life. featured numerous vlogs showcasing their life as a couple and grabbed over 1.2 million subscribers. They also had a web series called De’Arra & Ken’s Prank Show.
The once-adored YouTube couple, known for their lavish travel vlogs, relationship content, and undeniable chemistry, saw their partnership crumble amid several cheating scandals involving Ken. She claims the breakup occurred due to Ken’s multiple cheating scandals, and that they hired an attorney after the split because she felt she deserved more money. According to De’arra, she continued making content and landing brand deals during their rough patch. While Ken allegedly did not.
Their highly publicized breakup marked the end of their channel and left fans heartbroken and curious about the financial and personal fallout.
It appears that the fallout is still ongoing. Ken has since responded. Denying all the allegations and claiming he has texts to show they settled the matter “years ago.” He also sparked controversy when he took his new girlfriend out to South Korea. Many say on De’arra’s bag.

De’arra Taylor posted an emotional video on TikTok recently. Describing, how messed up her 2024 was. Losing important family members in her life. But she also isn’t playing with Ken either. A few hours ago and since deleted, De’arra posted her own clap back video.
It seems as if these two have no interest in finding common ground. Will 2025 be a better year for De’arra? Or will it be just as emotional and chaotic as her 2024?
